Top 5 Lego Sets Retiring This Summer
As the summer is creeping towards us, it's time to prepare for a large number of Lego sets to retire. While coming up with our list, it was hard to narrow it down to just 5 sets. We have included our honorable mentions at the end just to make sure they get the recognition they deserve. Disclaimer: retire dates often change, so this list may not be completely accurate
#5. Piranha Plant (71426-1) - $59.99
RetiringPiranha Plant
Released in 2023, the Piranha Plant has become one of my favorite sets. Coming in at 540 pieces, the Piranha Plant is a simple, yet fun addition/alternative to LEGO Botanicals. While my favorite LEGO Nintendo set has to be the LEGO Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System (71374), this is a great set at a much more affordable price. This set is currently 30% off at Amazon, making it $41.99.
#4. Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale (21348-1) $359.99
RetiringDungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale
With plenty of easter eggs and 10 unique minifigures, this set is a must-buy for any and all D&D fans. Containing 3,747 pieces, this LEGO Ideas set has plenty unique things build.
#3. Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile (76328-1) - $149.99
RetiringBatman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile
The iconic 1966 Batmobile is perfect for any Batman lover. This vintage car is made up of 1,822 pieces and comes with a Batman minifigure, Batarang included. For anyone who has a LEGO car collection, it would be hard to pass up on this unique build.
#2. PAC-MAN Arcade (10323-1) - $269.99
RetiringPAC-MAN Arcade
Another nostalgic build, the PAC-MAN Arcade is one that I will be sad to see go. With light-up and movable features, this 2,651 set is one of the best that LEGO has ever done. Added bonus is the minifigure-scale PAC-MAN Arcade that comes with it!
#1. Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors' Edition (76417-1) - $429.99
RetiringGringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors' Edition
The #1 set to retire this summer, IMHO, is the Gringotts Wizarding Bank - Collector's Edition. For any Harry Potter fan, this set would be hard to pass up. 13 minifigures, rollercoaster ride down to the vaults, the dragon, the iconic lobby, there's so many great features and details in this set. While this set isn't budget-friendly, we're hoping it will go on sale for 20% off like it did for Black Friday last year. Let's drink some Liquid Luck and hope for the best.
